Kerry-Leigh Tomaselli (nee de Boer)

Physiotherapist

Kerry-Leigh qualified with a B.Sc (Physiotherapy) degree from the University of Witwatersrand in 2007. In 2008 she completed her community service at various community health centres in Diepsloot; Rabie Ridge and Hillbrow. In 2009 she completed her post-graduate in Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapy, which she is now an assistant on. Since 2009 she has been working in a sports based practise before opening Kerry-Leigh de Boer Physiotherapy in September 2011.

Kerry-Leigh has worked at numerous sports events such as The 94.7 Cycle Challenge; The Comrades Marathon and assisted with the UJ sports teams. She worked as the physio for the ProEvents touch rugby league and was the physio for a few teams the Cape Epic Mountain Bike Challenge.

She participated in hockey,tennis and athletics as a scholar. She continued to play hockey for The University of Witwatersrand and premiere and woman’s first league hockey for another 7 years. The last few years she has developed a passion for mountain biking and has participated in numerous events including Sani2C; Wines2Whales; Swazi Frontier and the Liberty Cape Winelands Encounter. Kerry-Leigh has a great interest in all sports, whether participating, spectating or gathering an interest in the biomechamics and skills required for various sports

Candice Kuschke

Physiotherapist

Candice studied physiotherapy at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2004. Shortly thereafter she completed her Orthopaedic Manipulation Therapy 1 (OMT 1) course. After working at the NHC in Northcliff and Bryanston she ventured over to the UK where she worked in the NHS and then moved on to working at the BUPA Cromwell Hospital in London as the Lead Oncology Physiotherapist. While there she completed Lymphoedema Training in the Leduc Technique, and has also since learnt the new Fluorsocopy Guided Medical Lymphatic Drainage technique. Candice returned to South Africa in August 2014 to continue working in her area of special interest: Oncology and breast Cancer related physical impairments. She joined the practise in 2015.

Liz Marsland

Sports Massage therapist

Liz holds a BSc in Sports and Exercise Sciences (UK); and went onto study CrossFit Trainer certificate; Personal Training and Sports Massage in SA from 2010.

She has worked in various sporting environments including a CrossFit gym as a trainer and massage therapist; learned rehabilitation alongside Biokineticists; and has been fortunate to treat international rugby teams such as the Reds, All Blacks, Argentinian teams, when they visit for their games.

Liz is an experienced fitness professional with a sound understanding of physiology and body science. She works with athletes daily, as well as corporates to ensure good muscle activation and recovery through sports massage and rehabilitation techniques.
